When you hear somebody label the COVID vaccine as “experimental”, then that is an immediate red flag that announces “Here is a potential anti-vaccine crank”. It is not always the case, but it usually is.
What exactly is “experimental” about a vaccine that has not only been through very robust phase III clinical trials, but has also had literally billions of doses deployed?
For every whacky claim there is of course a Facebook posting that will supposedly validate it. Sanity tip: If anybody is citing either “Facebook” or “YouTube” then you can more or less guarantee that it is wrong.

What is this really about?
It’s a tactic. The term “experimental” perhaps stems from the observation that the COVID vaccines are available under The Emergency Use Authorization (EUA).
Rather obviously it is not released as a scientific “experiment”, the vaccines are way beyond that. There is a lot of data available that grants insights into both the safety and effectiveness of the various vaccines . That was true when they got the EUA. After literally billions of doses being deployed, it is even more so now.
Deploying this term is a way to invoke fear within the minds of the unwary.
Another term that is often deployed to scare people is “gene therapy”. Such language is not designed to inform, bur rather to manipulate and scare people.

The quick short answer is, no, that’s BS. The slightly longer answer is more complicated. It just might reduce the duration of symptoms for some people who have a Vit D deficiency. What it will not do is reduce the risk of acute respiratory tract infection in any way. For those that toss about the word “experimental”, you will find that they quite happily embrace totally unproven “experimental” approaches such as this, yet reject a vaccine that has been very robustly proven to work.
Bottom line. Be ware of those that deploy such terms.
What Happens Now?
The UK government has decided to remove all restrictions July 19th. With the Delta variant rapidly escalating this is quite frankly insane. Tragically the people this will impact the most are those who have been convinced that the one sure way forward, is bogus and “experimental”, hence refused the vaccine.
For those that might suggest that most will not die, and so all will be well, I should point out that long-COVID is not exactly a basket of fun. COVID for many is not just a bad flu. You really really do not want to get COVID, and so your best bet right now is the well-proven vaccine.
This is probably a cue for the folks who dish out the “experimental” term to claim that I’m obviously in the pay of big-pharma. If so, then that’s my cue to roll my eyes.

Your source please? Having investigated all such origins in my work over the last two decades I have never come across that notion. It is as though you have pulled it out of thin air. If you have a source, I would check it’s credibility and sources first, before replying. It certainly hasn’t been information available online until you just posted it. It doesn’t take the majority of people, it only takes an enthused minority of them. If only 10% of people in a few countries decide to hold a second Nuremberg trials, it will surely happen. No great social change in history has needed more than 2% of the populace to come to fruition. If you look at the people’s comments and responses on any given number of YouTube videos, mainstream newspaper articles etc etc, you find the real truth, and that is that 80% of people are talking in line with the idea of something like a second Nuremberg trial, and up to 10% of them are actually using the word ‘Nuremberg’.
Isn’t it wonderful that as we reach the 75th anniversary of that monumental trial and monumental code of law, the general public are re-educating themselves about the fact that international law and human rights place the individual’s sovereign status firmly over the tyranny of the the State and Big Pharma. Firstly, it is not dishonest to state that the vaccines are still in clinical trials, but it certainly is dishonest to claim that their being in clinical trials does not make them experimental. In case you did not notice, these vaccines were issued under an ’emergency use’ order. I suppose that is standard too is it? They have that status because they are still in the experimental phase. Trump did something similar in or around 2017. He allowed ‘experimental’ drugs (still in the clinical trials stage), to be given to people who are close to death, if they wanted them. The average vaccine used to take a minimum of 10 years to go through its ‘experimental’ phase. That should give you some idea of the level of NON-STANDARD protocols they have been working under with this medical intervention. Which brings me on to a further very important point.

Well, if the author regards that the vaccines “have all completed clinical trials” is a KEY STATEMENT OF FACT, I guess the author must be getting his infomration from Facebook or Youtube. Personally, I get my information from reliable sources such as the offiical clinical trials data, and from real experts like nobel prize winning virologist Luc Montagnier who is currently taking the WHO to the International Criminal Court because of the lies and crimes of the last 2 years. I listen to genuine doctors who care about giving out information that is factual, like the great Dr. Mercola, and the thousands of eminent doctors and scientists who are not bought and paid for by the pharmaceutical industry. I guess that’s why I know the facts and am not spreading fake information and propaganda that has not been properly researched.

– It is standard practise to continue to monitor long after Phase 3 clinical trials have completed … to use that monitoring as a basis for claiming that the vaccines are still “experimental” is dishonest
– You cite Luc Montagnier. He might indeed have won the nobel prize for HIV, but he is also now actively promoting conspiracy theories that have been robustly refuted with evidence.
– You cite Mercola (Why am I not surprised to find his name pop up) … he is a quack who simply uses fear to sell supplements. He is not be any measure “eminent”. The word you are looking for is “infamous”

I think you make a good point, though I won’t be taking it, because the risk to reward ratio just doesn’t justify the vaccine. The reason is simple: I caught the delta variant, and I mistook it for the common, harmless cold.
