Mike Lindell, infamous for spending rather a lot of time, effort, and money, promoting the big lie that the 2020 election was stolen, is now reported this past week to be facing considerable disruption to his business.
Via various media outlets we have details. Here is one report via The Hill that was published last Tuesday 11th …
MyPillow auctions off equipment amid ‘massive cancellation,’ CEO Lindell says
MyPillow is auctioning off hundreds of pieces of equipment and subleasing some manufacturing spaces amid what founder and CEO Mike Lindell calls “a massive, massive cancellation.”
Lindell, in an interview with the Star Tribune, said MyPillow lost $100 million from “attacks by box stores, the shopping networks, the shopping channels, all of them did cancel culture on us.”
Several retailers, including Walmart, Bed Bath & Beyond and Kohl’s, pulled MyPillow products from their shelves after Lindell continued to claim the 2020 presidential election was stolen from former President Trump.
The Minnesota-based manufacturing company appears to be using the website K-BID Online Auctions to sell items including forklifts, conveyors belts, printers, electronics and commercial supplies.
…
What he deems “Cancel Culture” you and I would call the “Finding Out” phase of “Fucking Around“.
Other notable and recent consequences from Mr Lindell’s new disinformation career include …
- The ongoing $1.3 billion defamation suit from Dominion Voting Systems
- Being ordered in April to pay $5 million to a software developer who debunked his data about the election. He had offered to pay that amount to anyone who could debunk his data allegedly proving election fraud, then refused to pay when that happened.
Moving on, below you will once again find my usual selection of some truly bizarre and extreme claims that have popped up during the last 7 days. Each is laced with my snarky commentary.
With my usual hat tip to my various sources, let’s once again dive into this very murky pool of absurdity and stupidity.
Christian Nationalism
Right here within this tweet from the past week is the intersection of white evangelicalism (Perkins is the tweeter) and white nationalism (Sen Tuberville – see here for what happened)…
Every Sperm is Sacred
In response to Timothy Samuelson of the Christian Medical Association claiming that embryos have rights and not supporting those rights is akin to slavery and holocaust in terms of violating those human rights, Felicia Hilton calls out the gross hypocrisy of it all …
State Sponsored what?
I really don’t need to tell you this, but the number of days that the Bible-Belt deeply red state of Oklahoma, or for that matter any other state, has ever had “State Sponsored Atheism” is exactly zero.
I mean for fracks sake, Oklahoma has a Christian nationalist governor, and also a state congress stuffed to the brim with fanatical evangelicals, yet their religious zealot Superintendent of Public Instruction thinks they are under threat from “state-sponsored atheism“
Christian “Love”
Christian hate-preacher Tanner Furrh spent over six minutes reading off a list of Jews working in the Biden Administration.
- So who wants to break the news to him that Jesus was Jewish?
Christian hate-preacher Jonathan Shelley says trans people should be put to death. “You have to eliminate” them, he said in a recent sermon filmed for his forthcoming pseudo-documentary “LGBT Terrorists.”
- This is “Pro-Life”!!
Homophobia on Steroids
The recent Supreme Court’s ruling, that it is fine to discriminate against anti-LGBTQ people, has resulted in the owner of a Michigan hair salon doing exactly that. This hairdresser said she won’t allow any trans people inside her store because they should see a “pet groomer” instead. She also said anyone using personal pronouns wouldn’t be welcome either.
- Actions have consequences: The salons’s brand supplier has responded by dumping the salon.
- Meanwhile the Salon owner will claim she is being persecuted and cancelled … without appreciating that she did it to herself.
Political Theatre
Rep Luna debating bill on humanitarian aid: I couldn’t help but pull out my pocket constitution and couldn’t find anywhere where it says we need to fund programs for humanitarian aid for women and children in Afghanistan. Kamlager-Dove: The text is not in the constitution, it’s in the bill
- Other things also not in the Bible: Guns, attacking Trans people, etc… but that never gives these same people any pause.
The False Profit$
MAGA Pastor Shane Vaughn claimed this past week “There is no longer FREEDOM OF RELIGION in America – only freedom of ACCEPTABLE and MAINSTREAM religion“
- Yet week after week he continues to promote, without being gagged, utterly absurd stuff along with a great deal of passionate devotion for his Lord and Saviour, Trump. It’s almost as if there is freedom of religion no matter what BS he promotes.
Oh heck, they found each other
So this happened. It is perhaps akin to that Ghostbusters moment when The Keymaster meets the Gatekeeper as harbingers of destruction …
Least you wonder, yes it’s “that” Benny Hinn, the guy who has expensive cars and lavish houses funded via ministry donations to supposedly spread God’s word. He happily exploits the poor and vulnerable to enrich himself.
Statistic of the week
We are not as deeply religious as some like to think we are …
Least you wonder, the author of the study counted someone as a weekly attender who attended a worship service 36 weeks out of the 47 weeks in the data sample. So even if they miss a week a month for sickness, travel, etc. & can still be “weekly.” … and yet the number is still 3%.

Liars, Dammed Liars, And Pro-Life adherents
If they really believed the majority was with them, then they would not need to actually lie about this. If you watch the clip you can see Acosta struggling to remain polite on air when faced with such epic BS.
BS Award of the week goes to … Mitch McConnell
This is industrial scale gaslighting.
Reminder: Mitch McConnell is the guy who blocked Obama’s nominee and stacked the courts.
Fact Check: Least you wonder, Linda Greenhouse of the New York Times called it as it really is “By the time the sun set on June 30, the term’s final day, every goal on the conservative wish list had been achieved.”
Rolling back Medicaid
You do have to wonder if all of these people actually appreciated what would happen to them when they last voted?
Since April 1, and this is no prank, but dead serious mind boggling stuff. Under Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders, nearly 220,000 Arkansas residents have lost their health insurance coverage …
The above has a ripple impact. If you turn up at a Hospital Emergency room, then they are obliged to treat you and so the Hospital eats the cost. The ongoing lack of Medicaid expansion creates a huge degree of financial stress upon small rural hospitals. As of last October, Arkansas ranked 7th in the percentage or rural hospitals at risk of closing.
Meanwhile over in Texas something similar is happening …
More Whacky Amendments from you know who
It perhaps has far more to do with her desire to be the VP choice for you-know-who in 2024, and also her deep financial need to tweet sound bytes that draw in donations from the deeply stupid …
The Wray hearing: This is how to leverage it
Weirdest Claim of the Week
Apparently our understanding of particle physics is all wrong …
Things that did not actually happen .. ever.
The term “atheist science pastor” is not just a red flag that warns this is BS. It is actually a flashing red neon sign that boldly proclaims “Here be olympic-class gold-plated bovine waste” and is large enough of a warning to be visible from orbit.
