Nope …
- Bush and team tried to convince the UN Security Council to support military intervention. Trump did not bother.
- Bush obtained support from the US Senate. Trump did not bother with that either.
- Bush went to war with dozens of countries in the coalition. Trump has partnered up with a war criminal who is guilty of genocide.
- Bush deployed military forces on the ground. Trump thinks that he only needs air power to achieve regime change. That almost never works.
Let’s be clear about this. He did not have congressional approval to blow up boats in the Caribbean. He did not have congressional approval to invade Venezuela. Now, he does not have congressional approval to go to war with Iran. This is dictatorship, he needs to be impeached now.
As a quick bit of history, Barack Obama reached a deal that prevented Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. Then in May 2018 Trump ripped up that deal, so Iran responded by expanding its nuclear activities. Now here we are at war with Iran to prevent it from getting a nuclear weapon primarily due to his utter incompetence and crass stupidity.
For every moment of administration lunacy there is a tweet to remind voters that they got conned in 2024 …

If you like being lied to by your government, boy oh boy have I got almost two hours of uninterrupted lies delivered by a serial rapist for you from this past week.
Nothing new was said, it was just the same old stuff. He stuck with the same mantra he says every day: everything is amazing and bigger and better than ever despite what people see, feel, pay for things and their bank accounts. Everything was terrible without him in charge but now everything is better than ever.
There were also moments that were very like North Korea with Republicans jumping up and clapping after every line.
Here are a few gems of pure lunacy:
- He said that he completely obliterated Iran’s nuclear weapons program months ago and also suggests we are going to have to bomb them again so we can obliterate it again. (Trump Translator: Obliteration apparently means slightly damaged).
- He claimed he ended a war between “Kosovo and Servia” (Hint: There has not been an active war between them both since 1999, and it was the UN that sorted that out, not him).
- He also claimed that 35 million people would’ve died in India and Pakistan if it wasn’t for him. Yes there were tensions after a bombing, and yes the US along with many other nations encouraged them to step back from any escalation. However, both India and also Pakistan have rejected the claim that he helped. There is exactly zero evidence that 35 million people were about to die.
- He said that more Americans believe in God because of him and Charlie Kirk and he’s bringing back religion at levels it’s never been at before. – Nope: Long-term data shows the opposite trend over the past two decades.
- He claimed that Melania is a big movie star.
- He said that there was no money for DHS to help with snow removal … and this claim was made just days after we learned adulterers Kristi Noem and Corey Lewandowski have a $70 million fuck plane paid for with your taxes.
- Trump: “In one year, we have lifted 2.4 million Americans — a record — off of food stamps” (In other words, Republicans cut food stamps)
- Oh and let’s not forget that the guy who was convicted of 32 felony counts of Fraud also declared a “War on Fraud”. Irony died on its way to the hospital for that one.
One other interesting observation. Trump appears to get something close to sexual excitement from describing acts of violence. If you wonder why his SOTU speeches always include graphic violence, that’s why. It’s for his own gratification.
Some very wisely opted out such as Memphis’ @repcohen.bsky.social: “I don’t need to hear the lies and predictable banality from this offensive and out-of-touch president.”
… and the Al Green tradition of having a bit of an impact also happened …
As for the truth, well here is some: Without question, it is a failed presidency. Without question, he is the worst president we’ve ever had. The entire world has contempt for this man, and that contempt is justified.
