Yes, I’m trying out a new title for this weekly posting. Fear not, I’ve not gone over to the dark side, you will still be taken on a tour of some of the MAGA madness that caught my attention during the past 7 days, and I will also continue to promote the truly excellent work of the political cartoonists who continue to hold to line by mocking the torrent of bovine waste that is being vigorously heaped upon us all each and every day.
However, it has been a rather good week, so I just have to open with that first bit of positive news … this year (and that’s saying a lot because it is November).
It has been Victory up and down all the ballots.
Briefly (as you most probably already know because it would be almost impossible to have missed it), Mamdani won NY, and Virginia voters also turned sharply left. Sherril won New Jersey with 56%, and Prop 50 passes in CA. All this and more is well worth celebrating.
Many eyes were on NY and the heaps of money that had backed Cuomo, but enough people were just not buying his BS …

- William Wolfe relentlessly blames the election results on immigration, urging people to read the anti-immigrant novel “The Camp of the Saints.”
- Joel Webbon blames the election results on allowing women to vote: “You can save your country or you can allow women to vote. But you cannot do both.“
- Doug Wilson declares that with Zohran Mamdani elected mayor, New York City will soon be “torn down by immigrants with an immigrant at the vanguard.“
Bask in the raw joy of it all. When these people weep, rant and wail, then you know that something truly wonderful has happened.

- Blood money – The average income of the top 5% is $526,000. Trump cut their taxes by 2.5%. Their current tax rate is 23%. Trump killed 600,000 people and gutted our government in order to save people making $526,000 an extra tax burden of $13,000.

The nuttier right-wing religious fanatics within the MAGA cult are as always doing their thing, and so here are a few samples from the past week …
- Er … “the government” is not “them“, it is literally “by the people, for the people“. If the government is not going to serve the people, then why should the people pay taxes.
- Meanwhile in reality, even the churches that do their absolute best with the best intentions lack the resources needed. It will also be money that comes from parishioners who will no longer have food and perhaps no healthcare.
- Another reality check is that food banks can no longer keep up with demand.
Pastor Joshua Haymes wants to make it illegal for women to wear bikinis.
- Imagine being a grown man and spending your time whining on the internet about bikinis
- It used to only be just the deeply fanatical Islamic regimes that dictated a dress code for women, but apparently some are eager for the US to play the “hold my beer” card on this one.
- So anyway, if the bikini is indeed banned, then I guess women will be on par with men and can go topless … right?
- I really don’t need to tell you this because you will have already worked it out, but yes, it’s literally a textbook example of a whacky conspiracy theory.
- What he is asking you to do is to forget your concerns about the economy, infrastructure, or healthcare and accept that the real national security threat is apparently Muslims helping people get childcare and lunch.

Joel Webbon insists that Hitler loving Nick Fuentes’ views are “actually quite moderate and compelling.“
- But of course Joel says this. When faced with this then the thought that comes to mind is quite naturally “Birds of a Feather“
- If your faith can’t survive without handcuffs, it’s not faith — it’s fascism with a Bible quote.
As for the election, yes Joel Webbon surfs the news cycle wave as he vows that he will never pronounce Mamdani’s name correctly “on principle” because “when it comes to the signing of the Declaration of Independence, how many Zohrans where there?“
- Interestingly enough the number of those named Zohran that signed Declaration of Independence is exactly the same as the number of those named Webbon.
- Imagine bragging about mispronouncing a name while citing men who literally signed a document that said ‘all men are created equal.’ The irony is doing push-ups on this one.
- There were also no microphones when it was signed, but that hasn’t stopped Joel from being a total dick in front of one.
