Most allies are pretty upset with the way he has attacked Iran via an illegal war without any consultation or preparation of his case for doing so. What is very clear to them is that the consequences of his excursion (war) have not been considered.
He has no coherent end state for the War, there is no clear path to how the war finishes. We are yet to see a viable plan to open the Straits. Even the USN has not ventured through the Straits.
Trump’s past threats and rants that directly targeted his potential allies have not exactly endeared himself to them, so absolutely nobody is surprised that they have rejected his plea for them to come clean up he mess he has created.
There is also his erratic nature and communication – one day he’s won, a few hours later he’s almost won, another day and he doesn’t need help, then he’s won again, then he’s got stuff to do “just for fun” and then he’s upset Allies don’t rush to his aid… so no, they will not be turning up.

To sum it all up, the president of the United States has been simultaneously claiming …
- that he has won the war
- is currently winning the war
- needs help to win the war
- needs no help to win the war
- will soon end the way
- will continue with the war
… all to supposedly destroy the nuclear program he claimed to have already destroyed last year.
He really is both deeply stupid and utterly incompetent, as are those that still support him.
His latest play is to consider a ground invasion. Once again a crassly stupid decision (if made). Iran has 600,000 soldiers and 350,000 to 5 million reserves. 5,000 Iranian soldiers have been killed in this War, and 15,000 injured. That leaves just 580,000 to 5.58 million armed Iranian combatants lying in wait for the ground invasion Trump is about to launch.
Why does he make such stupid decisions again and again?
It’s because he excises from his inner circle anyone who disagrees with him, so when he says he’s listening to advice, he means that he’s saving the “yes-men” left in the room with him as scapegoats for the future.
You have seen this pattern over and over for all positions of responsibility. Having a sound judgment is clearly disqualifying. Yes Noem is out because her utter incompetence made him look bad, (the cruelty was fine), but her replacement is an even bigger idiot. In the context of the Iran war any common-sense dissent amongst his “advisers” will have been purged long ago.

The problem here is that he is dealing with a state run by religious fanatics who really do not care at all if he does this.
As an aside, him doing this would also be a war crime – Collective punishment.
This is his rapist mentality. He is trying to bully Iran. It’s the same as threatening dems telling them he put ice nazis in airports if they don’t do what he wants. He’s doing the same to Iran, do what I tell you or I will use force. It’s what he did to underage girls, raping them.

As for what happens if he really did it, oh come now you know how it plays out, and yes sure enough, Iran’s top military command says it will strike U.S. and allied energy, IT, and desalination infrastructure across the Middle East if the U.S. targets Iranian energy sites.
The only thing we know for certain about how Trump’s War will end is that no matter what the outcome, whether any real objectives are achieved, regardless of the impact on the US and global economy over the short and long term, and the number of deaths, Trump will do what he always does – declare total victory and just walk away.

- Calling them “close to geniuses” is doing a lot of heavy lifting for the word “close”, because if they really are the benchmark for genius, the bar is now somewhere in the basement.

Jack Hibbs claims that “if you’re a good Muslim, you cannot swear allegiance to the US Constitution. You’re not allowed.“
- As usual Mr Hibbs is lying. There is nothing in Islam that universally forbids Muslims from respecting or pledging allegiance to the laws of a country they live in. In fact, many Islamic scholars across different traditions teach the opposite. Muslims are generally expected to honor contracts, obey the law of the land, and live peacefully within their societies
- If Muslims couldn’t swear allegiance to the Constitution, the U.S. military, Congress, and half the hospitals in America would have noticed by now. Turns out the only thing being violated here isn’t the Constitution, it’s basic fact checking.
